”In-situ observation of the solid-state battery”
Cross section of a solid-state battery composed of an NCA (Ni-Co-Al) positive electrode, an algyrodite-type sulfide solid electrolyte, and an In counter electrode was prepared by BIB (Broad Ion Beam) milling, pressurized by sandwiching, and transported to SEM without air exposure. In-situ SEM observation visualized the growth of the In-Li alloy (arrowed) during charging.
