“SEM observation and EDX analysis for inclusion in steel”
 Steel surface was prepared by mechanical polishing and ion milling. While distribution of several inclusions was identified by low magnification BSE image, shape and composition of the inclusion were clearly observed at higher magnification. Subsequent EDX analysis revealed the composition : oxide of aluminum and titanium, titanium nitride, silicide, reduced iron, etc.
