“Cross-section observation of a fuel cell membrane electrode assembly (MEA)“
 Cross section of Membrane Electrode Assembly (MEA) was prepared by cryogenic broad ion beam milling without delamination. Pt nanoparticles, carbon particles and voids between particles were clearly observed in the anode layer. Nanocapsule catalysts of Pt-Fe nanoparticles were found to be tightly packed in the cathode layer.
