”Ultra-low voltage SEM imaging of ionomer for a fuel cell”
A cross section of a fuel cell catalyst layer was observed at ultralow landing voltage of 10 V. Some areas appeared darker than porous carbon support in the SEM image and fluorine (F), a constituent element of the ionomer, was detected more strongly from the area than the carbon support. The darker areas were considered the ionomer made of fluorinated polymer.
